Security:
You can set security for each user to control their access to or permission
to edit sensitive data.

Retail
Sales: Sales items can be individually and specifically added to any
booking and the total cost will be shown on the Hire Invoice. You can also
record sales made without an accompanying hire agreement and optionally
track sales item stock levels. Sale
items can then be reviewed by date period to aid future business planning.

Barcodes:
Barcode functionality can be optionally included in Garb in order to speed
entry and lookup for costumes, customers, sales items, bookings and
locations.

Locations:
Keep track of where a costume is at any given time and where it should
usually be stored. Locations can be managed on up to three levels so you
could specify a particular rail in a room in a building as well as other
addresses such as the dry cleaners. Particular locations can be designated
as the main collection or return points for ease of use. Look-up costumes in
any given location to take stock checks.

Bookings:
Choose to book by individual calendar (as before) or by list. The list
option enables you to select the booking’s hire dates just once, after
which the availability of each costume you add is automatically checked.
This is easier and much quicker if you frequently hire out more than a
single costume per booking.

Look-up
Bookings: You can now find a booking by its reference number, customer,
costume or date parameters. Print e.g. summary list of all bookings made in
a day.

Price Rate Bands:
If you choose, you can now assign a costume to a price band instead of giving it an individual
custom rate. Bands can be
more easily updated if you wish to make price changes.

Rates by Time
Period: You can set different rates by time period to individual costumes
or to price bands e.g. a reduced rate for a longer hire period.

Customer
Discounts: Offer your loyal customers a % discount on hires or sales.
The discount will then be automatically applied to the total.

Payments:
Payments can be split into instalments and tracked. Payments by date can
then be reviewed.

Backup:
Prompt for automatic backup of database.

Extract
customer contact details: Names & addresses can be extracted to an
Excel spreadsheet to be used for mailings etc.

Some
old availability records can be deleted to speed up searches. Records of
hire start and end dates are unaffected.

Check
for potential problems with duplicate names or codes.
